Doug says: The cartoon shown above is one I often
personalize for the crowds at banquet appearances. I letter a person's name after
"Know my pal..." and put a "He's.." or a "She's..." above
the "President of the Bro. Blotz Fan Club!" The idea came from a public
appearance at Glorieta Assembly one summer, when I had sweatshirts made for each member of
our family with the message "President of the Bro. Blotz Fan Club." The punch
line we always gave was, "There is only one member in the club --- Brother
Blotz. Everyone else is president." The idea caught on, and now everyone
wants to be President of the Brother Blotz Fan Club!

| "Eloquence"
was created as a remembrance of the 50th wedding anniversary of Jess and Doris Moody. I
shot firecrackers and sang at their July 4 wedding, not necessarily in that order. For
their cartoon, I lettered it, "I finally learned the secret of the eloquence of Jess
Moody! Doris is a ventriloquist!" It makes a good gift for a pastor friend. You don't have to wait
for his 50th anniversary. |

| "Thursday,"
right, has been a favorite personalized and autographed cartoons at appearances ranging
from bridal fairs to senior adult banquets. It is appreciated by all ages. The first names
of the bride and groom, along with the appropriate pronoun, will be hand-lettered where
the parentheses are. And the cartoon will be personally autographed to the couple. |

shown right, can be lettered with either a man's or woman's name. And don't worry about your Senior Adult friend being offended.
I've given away hundreds of these at Senior Adult banquets and convocations. They get a --

| "Bad Hair,"
shown right, can be lettered to list any name. If it is a woman's name, I letter an
"S" to make the last sentence read "She's having a bad hair day!" This one fits almost anybody and for any occasion. It makes a
great Thank-You gift for committee members -- those who have just accepted a position or
those who are ending their service.
And yes, I'll give a discount for a group like
that.
